We are looking for an accomplished Product Marketing leader to build our product marketing team
– and play a critical role in scaling our business.

This person will take ownership of our positioning strategy, influence product design, and develop both product and feature messaging that’ll win customers.

This role reports into the Head of Marketing and will be instrumental in both initial product definition / launch strategy and continuous lifecycle marketing improvement when products have matured.

The Head of Product Marketing will work closely with brand marketing, performance marketing, customer experience, and technology teams in a collaborative culture.


  • Own all product marketing for a suite of deposit and lending products
    – initial products and expansion plans.
  • Drive the creation, roll out, and maintenance of the following for each product:
    • Define target audiences
      – primary and secondary.
    • Map the customer ‘shopping’ journey with key marketing touchpoints.
    • Uncover governing consumer insights that shape product perceptions and usage.
    • Craft clear positioning statements.
    • Establish Key messages, marketing claims, and communication hierarchies that effectively convey our positioning & overall value proposition.
    • Identify needed website content and other forms of content marketing (partnering closely with Brand Marketing and content strategy SME’s).
    • Establish and prioritize a learning agenda and corresponding testing pipeline.
  • Serve as a specialist on category and product specific lifecycle to help the Growth (Performance) Marketing team meet new customer acquisition targets and the Customer Marketing Team expand existing customer relationships.
  • Lead competitive analysis for product categories to help inform go-to-market plans and understand why products in the portfolio are winning/losing in the market
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure integrated campaigns and consistent brand experiences across all channels and touchpoints.

Position Requirements


  • 8+ years product marketing or related experience; ideally in a high growth direct-to-consumer company.
  • Experience in owning positioning strategy and managing large product roll outs.
  • Experience building product marketing organizations.
  • Proven ability to develop product messaging strategy for different audiences, channels, and types of content.
  • Familiar with digital marketing channels and building integrated campaigns.
  • Able to synthesize quantitative and qualitative insights together to build a compelling strategic narrative.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in fast paced growth environments either at an ad agency or high growth company that moves fast and celebrates wins and digs into failures.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Analytical and a natural problem solver
    – able to combine qualitative and quantitative data to extract actionable insights to adjust strategies and plans accordingly.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing and changing goals / priorities when those situations arise
  • Collaborative and able to influence others based on data and consumer insight-driven reasoning.
  • Self-starter, open to wearing multiple hats and executing without waiting for direction.
  • Curious and innovative, you constantly keep up with the latest trends to look for ways to improve.
  • High emotional intelligence to encourage positive energy and fun throughout the organization.
  • Thrives in a lean, scrappy, entrepreneurial environment.

    Comfortable putting hands on keyboards as necessary to drive progress in a lean, start-up environment.
