Account Executive (US-Remote)

Our platform enables companies like Robinhood, Patreon, and Indiegogo to provide customers with control over their information. We allow these customers to request, identify, and delete their personal information from a growing suite of integrated companies: from Salesforce to Slack, Facebook, Zendesk, Intercom, and beyond.

Transcend is looking for a Sales Account Executive to join our team. In this role, you’ll be a foundational member of a fast-growing Sales organization. You will be the primary driver of expanding our business and sharing the value of what we provide. You will have exceptional room for growth and will be part of a team-oriented culture that builds together.
As an early member of the team, you will have an opportunity to shape the future of the sales organization at Transcend. You’ll work cross-functionally with our world-class Engineering, Marketing, and Product teams to propel Transcend through the next stage of growth. If you are entrepreneurial, self-motivated, a creative problem solver with high EQ, an excellent communicator, and have an innate drive to win, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

    • Build and own relationships with Transcend’s customers, from first contact to close and beyond, ensuring that we grow with them.
    • Navigate complex customer relationships, developing trust and influence with engineering and legal up to c-level leadership.
    • Collaborate across Transcend teams including engineering and product to close business and ensure successful customer launches.
    • Collaborate closely across the Sales organization to develop and execute strategies to expand Transcend’s adoption in key industry verticals, working closely with the marketing team to tell our customers’ success stories.
    • Communicate customer needs and industry patterns back to Transcend product teams to influence our technical roadmap.
    • Mentor members of the sales team as appropriate to help grow talent internally.

Who You Are

    • Strong technical sales aptitude demonstrated through a combination of industry experience and complexity of deals closed.
    • 5+ years experience in a closing role at a SaaS provider with top performance.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication.
    • Deep curiosity, empathy, and grit – we’re partnering with our customers to solve hard problems, and we win as a team.
    • Ability to thrive in a constantly changing and evolving work environment.
    • Experience at early-stage SaaS startups.
    • You have experience working on developer products.
    • You have experience working on complex technical products.
    • You can get into the nuts and bolts of data infrastructure.
    • You are customer-obsessed and deeply empathetic of end-users-whether they are using our interfaces or developing against our APIs.
    • You believe passionately that data rights are human rights, and you envision a world where users everywhere are in control of their personal data.
