Digital Sales Specialist – Remote


This is a Full-time position in Boston, MA posted January 15, 2022.

Job Title : Digital Sales Specialist

Location: Remote/Burlington, MA

Duration: 6 months

Monday – Friday; 8am – 5pm


  • Will be covering for someone on maternity leave Performing sales for Lab Water Division
  • Making sales call, giving quotes out to customers over the phone
  • Have Salesforce knowledge, customer service experience and Must have 1 year of experience
  • Education: Bachelors] degree or equivalent work experience

Position Responsibilities:
* Drive consumable sales within assigned territory using data-driven approach
* Prioritize sales activities / calls based on consumable gap analysis and other predictive analytics
* Conduct sales calls and account check-ins using virtual conferencing / telephone
* Generate quotations and proposals for consumable and service sales
* Drive service contract sales after initial warranty expires
* Scout for hardware opportunities through IIR database and information regarding government funded projects
* Utilize Redox to generate list of prospective Lab Water Solutions customers and initiate contact with the prospects
* Transition hardware opportunities to the relevant Field Sales Specialist once they are qualified
* Drive MyMilli-Q™ service sign-ups and activations
* Engage with customers digitally through LinkedIn and other social selling tools
* Maintain close alignment with Field Sales Specialist, Maintenance Contract Sales and Field Service Coordinators
* Maintain a deep understanding of the market and competitor landscape
* Share best practices and wins with team members
Minimum Qualifications:
* 1+ years of experience in a scientific environment (i.e. lab) or demonstrated selling experience
* Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:
* Digitally savvy and social
* 1+ years of experience and ability with various sales tools and technology, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office software, Tableau, or other CRM, Redox, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Profiler, Engage or other social platforms
* Detail oriented with excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
* Advanced degree
* Technical competency demonstrated in and/or around specialist portfolio including product knowledge, product application and product positioning for Lab Water Solutions
* Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed organization inspiring teamwork to achieve results
* IT knowledge to support online activation and support of our digital product line
* Technical skill set to support needs of our Custom-based products
* Sound judgement and problem-solving competency in handling issues and leveraging the appropriate internal support functions to ensure customer solutions are driven in a timely manner and you can continue to focus on territory growth
* Demonstrated capability/experience in meeting/exceeding sales targets
