Reporting to Sr.

Director Network Architecture, Engineering & Automation, the Sr.

Mgr Network Engineering will be leading the team of global Network Design Engineers assisting in the design and engineering related to JNJ’s next-generation network vision of Software Defined Networks for technologies like SDLAN, Wifi, SDDC and Cloud Networking while maintaining and working on existing core enterprise network and emerging technologies like Wifi6E/7 and 5G-Private.

They will also have proficiency, solid understanding and hands on experience with above mentioned technologies in at least two or more areas, including developing cost efficient wired and wireless network designs.

The candidate should also have an understanding of network virtualization, cloud computing, NGFWs, and other leading-edge technologies.

The successful person is able to transform complex problems and abstract concepts into executable technology solutions.

In this role, the candidate will be accountable for leading, driving and developing network designs that are best suited for Business requirements.

The role will be responsible for documenting these designs and ensuring communication and delivery of these services globally.

Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain regular communications with peers, Architects, Engineering, deployment as well as operations teams, supplier management and vendors regarding requisite network infrastructure changes and improvement opportunities Provide strong technical leadership, guidance to engineers.

Work with Sr leadership and other managers to meet goals and provide business solutions.

Responsible for assessing talent, identifying gaps, and provide development mentorship and provides opportunities for stretch roles to develop future leaders.

Sets performance standards and holds team members accountable to standards.

Forecasts needed resources such as vendors, technologies, consultants, staffing needs, and training for the team to accomplish business objectives, validation, testing and acceptance within Global Network Services Lead the development of consistent network solution standards with appropriate documentation, templates, use cases and acceptance testing Collaborate with peer engineering teams, Cloud and Security organizations and management for network designs, automation standards and develop strategy to support global deployments at scale.

This includes providing supporting documentation and training to the regional support teams Qualifications Bachelors in Computer Science OR Software Engineering OR related technical degree experience 8 years of Enterprise Network experience with a highly available global production infrastructure 2 yrs of experience leading robust Network Engineering teams Working knowledge of routing protocols like BGP, EIGRP, L2/L3 LAN, Wifi, Campus networks.

Working knowledge of Software Defined Data Centers, Cloud Networking Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent written and oral communication skill with experience communicating highly conceptual designs to executives, mid-level managements, and peer engineers.

Others: Travel is required up to 10%.
