Project Manager- Mergers & Acquisitions (Remote)

This is a Full-time position in Kansas City, MO posted July 30, 2021.

The Project Manager will work for, an industry leading Insurance Brokerage, Risk Management, and Third-Party Claims Organization.

The position with be on a 1-2 year+ contract basis, fully remote.

The company’s Claims Division is going through two small acquisitions (100, 400 employees) and is seeking an experienced M&A PM to help drive these efforts.

The role will internally reports to: the Vice President of IT Claims Operations and partners closely with other key internal stakeholders in IT Security, IT Infrastructure and other Executives at the organization.

Additionally, this PM will work closely with both acquired companies Executive Leadership Teams and acquired organization’s employees on helping them understand the integration, systems changes, and making it as seamless of a transition as possible for the business to continue flourishing harmoniously.

Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of IT experience.

7 years of experience managing M&A infrastructure projects, including global teams in multiple locations and time zones.

7 years of technical project management experience focused on implementations with medium to high level of complexity.

Experience producing detailed project schedules and resource requirements.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
– must be comfortable speaking and writing to C-level audiences, as well as technical audiences.

Extensive experience in project reporting, including executive level briefing.

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering or related field.

PMP certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities
Work with M&A and security teams to do IT and risk assessments on companies that have already been evaluated to determine if the merger should be executed in full.

Determine what technologies are being used with experience doing ERP and financial tools integrations and determine on how that will impact existing business.

Will document risks and proactively plan to mediate those risks to eventually be signed off by CEO Help come up with solutions to general M&A questions from stakeholders
– i.e.

migrating emails, benefits enrollment cutover, etc.

Work directly with Technical PM assigned by the Technology Services team, who has M&A playbook and infrastructure playbook to coordinate network cabling, laptops, major milestones for infrastructure standpoint, etc.

(will need some IT M&A experience doing system integrations, although this role is more general business M&A focused so must see bigger picture).

Understand how the business uses technology and what we’re moving to/how that impacts ability to do business.
